The fence around the flying field has been removed for a few weeks. Grass in the surrounding paddock will be mown for hay soon when the weather is suitable.
There are some cones on corners to mark where the concrete corner post bases are to prevent any damage to the haymower. Please leave them in place until after mowing is completed.
As some will be aware, the runway is going to be extended after the hay is harvested. After negotiations with our very accommodating landlord, another 50 meters will be added to the Western end.
I wonder how many will still be running off the end of the strip??? Hmm
